Itanagar- Arunachal Pradesh: A low-density earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 struck the Basar hit the town in the Lepa-Rada district of the state of Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday morning, National Center for Seismology (NCS) said.
The National Center for Seismology said, the earthquake occurred 58 km of North-West-North of Basar at around 7:1 am in the morning today.
The earthquake occurred 10 kilometers below the surface of the earth.
"On November 23, 2022, at 7:01 IST, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 occurred 58 kilometers northwest of Basar, Arunachal Pradesh", NCS said in a tweet.
Earlier in the day, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter Scale was felt close to Nashik in Maharashtra.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the earth's tectonic plates began to shift at approximately 4 am in a region 89 kilometers west of Nashik. The earthquake occurred 5 kilometers below the surface of the earth.
National Center for Seismology tweeted, "Earthquake of Magnitude:3.6, Occurred on 23-11-2022, 04:04:35 IST, Lat: 19.95 and Long: 72.94, Depth: 5 Km, Location: 89km W of Nashik, Maharashtra, India."
