A case has surfaced in Kota, Rajasthan. A grandson beat his grandmother to death with a stick and baton. Circle Inspector Shaukat Ali of Bundi Sadar Police Station has said that "Jhumaribai, a resident of Amaranthuna, was hit by his grandson till late Sunday night. She was taken to the district government hospital".

Jhumaribai underwent treatment in the hospital, but she succumbed to her treatment. Police said that after the post-mortem, Jhumaribai's body was handed over to her family members. Police said that when the investigation of this case started, it was found that Deepak (grandson of Jhumaribai) had borrowed Rs 20,000 from his uncle with the help of his grandmother. After which when the grandmother asked for her money back, Deepak beat her to death. The police said that Deepak is still absconding and Police have registered a case of murder against him.
