Dhanbad: Police in Jharkhand's Dhanbad have recovered a container full of cows. Along with this, the police have also arrested the driver of the container and his helper. This container has been caught in the Maithon area. After recovering the container full of cattle, Balaji Rajhans-Maithan police station in-charge said that secret news of the smuggling of cows was received. It was learnt that the cattle were being loaded in the container and transported towards West Bengal.

"Subsequently, a raid was conducted near the toll plaza and the container was blocked," the SHO said. The driver and his associate are being questioned. A veterinary doctor has been called to examine the cattle. Police have detained container driver Naushad Khan and his associate Ashish Kumar. Explain that the cattle smuggling syndicate is active in that area, who makes vehicles loaded with animals cross the Bengal border.

The same syndicate includes people from Nirsa, Govindpur, Rajganj, and Topchanchi. Their job is to get vehicles to cross GT Road. Last July, a woman policeman was run over by cattle smugglers with a mini-truck in Jharkhand's capital Ranchi. Seeing the woman SI investigating the news of smuggling, the smugglers had increased the speed of the vehicle. The woman policeman lost her life after being hit by the vehicle.
