Jaipur: A father from the Baran district of Rajasthan sold his two minor daughters for marriage with Rs 8 lakh. Police have arrested Phulbarod resident Badrilal, the father of minor daughters after the case came to light. The case is said to be of the Chhipabarod police station area. Baran Superintendent of Police Kalyanmal Meena said that on December 22, a minor girl registered a case at Chhipabad police station that her father had taken the money and married her and younger sister.
On November 13, Badri Meena from Phoolbarod and Suresh from Vamanpura brought a Maruti van to his house. Both the sisters were taken with them in the van. Badri continued to physically abuse the girl while Suresh took her younger sister to his house and imprisoned her. On the complaint of the minor, the police registered a case under relevant sections and started an investigation.
In view of the seriousness of the case, Superintendent of Police Meena immediately formed a special team led by Chhadbarod Ravindra Singh, supervision and police officer of CO Chhabra Puja Nagar. The team took immediate action and arrested Badri Meena accused of raping the abducted minor and the minor's father Badrilal Meena. Along with this other accused are also being searched.
