Itanagar: Lockdown continues across the country to deal with the epidemic. But due to this lockdown, the workers have to face many problems. Many workers had to go a long way for food due to the lockdown. One such incident has come to light in Arunachal Pradesh, where a worker family reached the outskirts of Assam after travelling for six hours due to lack of food.

Salman Darji, 38, left Itanagar in the morning with his two young children and his wife and reached the Assam border after 5-6 hours. Salman was working in Arunachal Pradesh, but everything was ruined for him after the lockdown was announced. Salman is a daily wage labourer. The family had to face a financial crunch as soon as the lockdown was implemented. Salman was not even getting food and grains to feed his young children.

Not only this, but he also had no money to pay the rent of the house where he was staying with his family, and the owner of the house was asking for rent. Since Salman could not see his children suffering from hunger, his family was begging for food on the streets. Due to this, he had to leave Itanagar by walking for 7 to 8 hours to reach his village located at the border area of Assam.
