According to Khaama Press, Hamdullah Mukhlis, a key Taliban commander who was one of the first to enter the Afghan Presidential Palace after the fall of Kabul on August 15, was killed in a terror attack on a military hospital in the capital city.

The Taliban has yet to comment on the news, but sources say Mukhlis was among the 19 people killed in the attack on Tuesday. He was reportedly appointed as the commander of the military corps in Kabul and was a prominent Taliban commander.

More than 50 people were injured in the attack on the Sardar Muhammad Daud Khan military hospital in the Afghan capital. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack. Three Taliban fighters, three women, and a child were among the victims, according to a Taliban spokesperson, Bilal Karimi. IS terrorists wanted to enter the hospital and kill civilians, but Taliban fighters stopped them and killed all five assailants, according to Bilal Karimi.
