The clinical trials of a vaccine requires some hundreds of volunteers in its initial clinical trials. A Brazilian male volunteer participating in clinical trials of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by Oxford University has died. The reports said he had received a placebo, not the test vaccine. 

AstraZeneca may start COVID trials later

This death is the first reported death in the various coronavirus vaccine trials taking place worldwide.The organizers say there were no safety concerns and the testing of the vaccine, developed with pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca, will be continued. The sources say the volunteer is a 28-year-old doctor, a front-line warrior of the pandemic and is died of complications from Covid-19.It also said the volunteer had received a placebo rather than the test vaccine.

The Oxford has said, "Following careful assessment of this case in Brazil, there have been no concerns about safety of the clinical trial, and the independent review in addition to the Brazilian regulator have recommended that the trial should continue". Previously due to the Serious Adverse effects of the vaccine the clinical trials of the vaccines including that from Johnson and johnson had been stopped. As it is mentioned, the death was not because of vaccine, we still can expect the safe vaccine to be dedicated for the general people at any time.
