Dumka: A man imprisoned in the Dumka District jail of Jharkhand on theft charges died of corona infection. The man's name was Santosh Mehria and he was fifty years old. He was a resident of Bihar.
The officials have told in this regard that he was arrested on suspicion of stealing wood. Santosh was a resident of Banka District of Bihar, who was arrested by the Saraighat police on August 17. Senior health officer told this time that his corona test came negative when he was brought to jail. Santosh Mehria had problems with diabetes and high blood pressure, his brother Ajay has told that when his condition deteriorated on Wednesday, Dumka was admitted to the Medical College.
Senior health officer told that after 2 o'clock, his condition went on deteriorating. Although Mehria was admitted to the hospital, he had no symptoms of corona. He was kept in the normal ward and further told that after his death, he was reported to be corona infected. Mehria died of corona infection. Whoever has come in his contact will also have a corona test.
