Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, a constable in Badaun district fired bullets at his senior officer as he was not getting leave. A soldier, who was stationed at Uzhani Kotwali in Badaun, opened fire indiscriminately at the police station on Friday after he shot himself. After the incident, there was an atmosphere of panic in Kotwan.

The two injured were then taken to the District Hospital for treatment. From there, he was referred to Bareilly.  The condition of the officer remains fragile. On the other hand, senior police officials including DM and SP of the district rushed to the spot as soon as the case was reported. According to media reports, Sepoy Lalit had applied for 10 days leave in the department. But only three days' leave was granted. Although he was still seeking more day off. He and his officer, Ram Autar, got into a quarrel and constable Lalit shot the officer.

He also shot himself after he shot Droga. DM Kumar Prashant has said that the constable has shot droga on the holiday. The DM said that the police department has the right to give only 3 days leave in the hands of the officer. The DM informed that co, additional SP or SSP are required to apply for more days of leave. He said, the situation remains very fragile. While cop Lalit is out of danger.
