Mumbai: After chasing a serial molester for months, a special team of the Mumbai police finally succeeded. The accused had allegedly been on the run since the past few months. It was also alleged that the accused was involved in around seven cases of molestation. The accused was identified as Nitin Bhardwaj. The accused is allegedly a real estate agent and hails from Malad. The 37-year-old was arrested by a special team of the Mumbai police. It was alleged that the accused is married and is a father to two children.

While talking to the Mumbai Mirror, the deputy commissioner of police, Zone 9, Paramjit Singh Dahiya stated that after repeated incidents of crimes against women were reported, they decided to form a special team to look into the same. The police alleged that a bike-borne was spotted frequenting colleges in Bandra, Santacruz and Juhu. The bike-borne allegedly used to flash at women and used to escape. The accused used to visit the colleges in the evening.
To shield himself from being tracked, the accused allegedly changed the number plates of the vehicle. The police took the help of CCTV footage of the nearby areas and observed a recurring pattern in the alleged incidents. After reading into the patterns of the accused, the police decided to lay a trap. After the accused was arrested, he allegedly confessed to the crimes. It was also alleged that some of the victims were minors. The accused was taken into police custody for further interrogation.
