Lucknow: In the Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh, a 14-year-old girl student, fed up with blackmailing of a mad sporty, caused a fire in the area by trying to commit suicide by setting herself on fire. The minor girl has been admitted to the district hospital in a badly burnt condition. She was referred to Kanpur after first aid.

The minor was admitted for treatment at Deewana Satrughan District Hospital, Hamirpur. The girl is struggling with life and death in the hospital. The girl's mother told that for the past 15 days, a boy from the village was harassing her. Have raped her and was threatening to make the video viral. A 14-year-old girl from a village of Sumerpur police station under Hamirpur district, who studies in Class IX, was repeatedly blackmailed by a minor boy from the village, who is also a student of Class IX. He used to threaten her for making her video viral. Being fed up with this threat, on Tuesday, a minor student set kerosene in the house and set fire. The one who has been admitted to the district hospital, doctors say that the condition of the girl remains critical.

The Superintendent of Police said that the police reached the spot on Monday afternoon after receiving information that a 14-year-old boy was beaten up by the girl's family members. At that time, the family members of the girl had accused the boy of molesting and beating them but refused to give a complaint. Apart from this, SP Narendra Kumar Singh said that the 14-year-old minor girl tried to commit self-immolation. The girl has been referred to Kanpur in a critical condition. The girl's statement has also been recorded before the magistrate, further action is being taken.
