USA: Well-known messaging service WhatsApp has recently published an update with version number 23.5.79 on beta channel for iOS.

According to WABetaInfo, some Twitter users complained about a problem with WhatsApp notifications that prevented them from getting notified when they received new messages.

The problem is fixed in the latest update. But it appeared that only the Business app was affected by the notification bug.

Currently, WhatsApp is used by more than two billion people worldwide. The meta-proprietary app receives several important bug fixes with each update along with new features and other functionalities.

The issue with restoring chat history for iOS users was fixed in the latest stable update 23.5.78. Picture-in-picture video calling and the ability to post voice status were both added by the same update.

The problem with WhatsApp notifications started after downloading the 23.5.75 update, as reported by some users. Furthermore, it appeared that the issue only affects the WhatsApp Business app.

Notification bug was fixed for users of WhatsApp for iOS who installed the most recent update. If you are facing the same issues then try updating the app.

The app recently added a "Boost Status" shortcut to the Business app, while on beta release for Android and iOS. Thanks to the new feature, businesses can now forward status updates on Facebook to reach a larger audience.

Beta users had access to both ads and descriptions, and could choose how long the ads would run. Apart from this, WhatsApp has also changed the community feature.

On the Android beta version of the app, the announcement group has been renamed to "Home", while on the iOS beta version it has been renamed to "Update".

Additionally, the community icon was moved from the bottom bar to the chat header. More users will get this update in the coming days.

Additionally, WhatsApp is introducing a feature that will allow users to see a list of popular groups when searching for a contact. Although it is currently limited to the beta channel.

When you use the search bar to search for a specific contact, the "General in group" section will appear. There is also a comparable feature in WhatsApp Desktop.
