Islamabad: The mastermind of the Mumbai attacks and Jamaat-ud-Dawa kingpin Hafiz Saeed was convicted by the court in the terrorist financing case. It is also going on that Pakistan's anti-terrorism court has sentenced Hafiz Saeed to 5.5 years in two separate cases. The punishment awarded in both cases will run concurrently. The court has also imposed a fine of 15 thousand Pakistani rupees on Saeed in both the cases.

Sentenced to five-and-a-half years in two cases: According to the information received, a court official has confirmed to PTI that Saeed has been sentenced in two cases for financing terrorism in Punjab province. On 11 December, the Anti-Terrorism Court while hearing the cases of financing terrorism, convicted Saeed and one of his associates. The court sentenced Saeed to five-and-a-half years and five-and-a-half years of imprisonment in both cases, while also imposing a fine of Rs 15,000 each in both cases. The punishment for both cases will go together.
