Visakhapatnam: A pregnant woman waiting for a train along with her husband and three children was molested by three men near a railway station in Andhra Pradesh's Bapatla district, after which the three men gang-raped a pregnant woman. Not only this, the accused brutally beat up the woman's husband. She kept shouting and trying to get the help of the railway police, but could not get any help.

At present, the woman is undergoing treatment at the hospital and all the three accused, including a juvenile, have been arrested. The incident took place on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday when the family was on its way from Guntur to Krishna district in search of work. The family is a resident of the Prakasam district. Police said on Sunday that the incident was carried out when a couple hailing from Yeragondapalem in Prakasam district were on their way to Nagayalanka village in Krishna district to work in the agriculture sector and they both got off the train at Repale railway station on Saturday night. The two fell asleep on the platform to go to Nagyalunka on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, three men came there and thrashed the woman's husband and allegedly gang-raped the woman on the railway platform itself. The three men then snatched the money from the couple and fled from the spot.  

After this, the husband ran away and tried to take the help of the railway police, but no officer was found at the station.The Repale railway station is about 80 km away from the state capital Amravati. Police said the victim has been admitted to the government hospital in Repale for a medical test. Bapatla Superintendent of Police (SP) Vakul Jindal visited the spot. During the same time, CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy spoke to the Superintendent of Police, Bapatla and directed him to arrest the accused at the earliest.
