Bhubaneswar: A very peculiar case has come to know in the Ganjam district of Odisha. A truck driver has been fined Rs 1000, but the reason behind it is so surprising, which is making the matter very viral. According to media reports, the administration has struck a fine of Rs 1000 on a truck driver for running a truck without wearing helmets.

The official news agency ANI has also shared a photograph of the Challan, which has all the information from the driver to the truck. As per the details given on the Challan, In Ganjam district, when Pramod Kumar went to the Transport Department Office to renew his vehicle permit, he was handed a copy of the challan, which had a fine of one thousand rupees. The date on the copy of the Challan is 15th March 2021 and the truck number is OR-07W/4593, whose invoice has been deducted.

When Pramod Kumar spoke to the officials on this Challan, was told that the Challan has been deducted due to driving without a helmet. Pramod said, "My truck-driving permit was expired and I went to the RTO office to renew it, only then I came to know about this pending challan."
