Mumbai: After a WhatsApp status praising Mughal emperor Aurangzeb went viral in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Hindu organizations have started a massive protest. Workers of Hindu organizations have gathered at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk at 10 am today. They demand that the strictest action should be taken against the accused who do this. For this demand, Hindu organizations had called Kolhapur bandh today. Hindu workers were gathering and raising slogans. Some of these activists also pelted stones and vandalized shops, after which the police lathi-charged the miscreants to bring the situation under control and the protesters were removed from there by tear gas shells. A large number of police forces have been deployed on the spot. Police teams are patrolling the area to maintain peace. The DGP himself is keeping an eye on this whole matter.

Devendra Fadnavis has also issued instructions to the Home Department to take strict action against the culprits.
