Mumbai: After a WhatsApp status praising Mughal emperor Aurangzeb went viral in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Hindu organizations have started a massive protest. Workers of Hindu organizations have gathered at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk at 10 am today. They demand that the strictest action should be taken against the accused who do this. For this demand, Hindu organizations had called Kolhapur bandh today. Hindu workers were gathering and raising slogans. Some of these activists also pelted stones and vandalized shops, after which the police lathi-charged the miscreants to bring the situation under control and the protesters were removed from there by tear gas shells. A large number of police forces have been deployed on the spot. Police teams are patrolling the area to maintain peace. The DGP himself is keeping an eye on this whole matter.

Let us tell you that three youths had posted a WhatsApp status praising Aurangzeb and creating a dispute between two communities, which has gone viral. Against this, Hindu organizations have also started calling for Kolhapur bandh. On this call, thousands of Hindu workers have gathered at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk. Meanwhile, some activists indulged in stone pelting and vandalized shops, after which the police started lathicharge on the protesters. An FIR was also registered against the three minor youths who posted this WhatsApp status, but Hindu organizations are demanding that strict action should be taken against them. The whole ruckus has started regarding the demand for this action.  

Supriya Sule targeted Fadnavis: At the same time, NCP leader Supriya Sule has also targeted Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis on this incident. He has said about this that it is a failure of the law and order situation in Maharashtra. The Home Ministry has completely failed to handle the situation. Recently we have seen communal unrest all over the state. In such a situation, how can you expect development and investors to come to Maharashtra. 

Aurangzeb's status is not tolerated: Nitesh Rane: BJP MLA Nitesh Rane has said that Shivaji Maharaj's Maharashtra has no Aurangzeb's status. If he glorifies, then it is not going to be tolerated. This will not be tolerated in our state. We are ready even if we have to take up the sword tomorrow for the protection of the identity of Shivaji Maharaj and the Hindu society. 

Deputy CM instructed to take action against the accused: Regarding this whole case, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that there will be no apology in the state for those who praise Aurangzeb. Police is also taking action. Also, it is our collective responsibility that people also maintain peace, no untoward incident will happen anywhere. Devendra Fadnavis has also issued instructions to the Home Department to take strict action against the culprits. 

CM Shinde appeals to maintain peace: In this case, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has said that it is the responsibility of the government to maintain peace in the state. The Home Department and the Home Minister are in touch with the officials. I am also in touch with the officials and keeping an eye on the case. Everyone needs to cooperate. Do not take any law in hand. Action will be taken against whoever takes it. May there be peace and joy in the kingdom. Everyone needs to cooperate for this.
