Fire broke out in house at midnight, woman and 3 children died

Katihar: A major accident occurred on Monday night in Abadpur police station area of Katihar district of Bihar. A woman, including three children, died due to fire in the house. The condition of another scorched woman still remains critical in this accident, whose treatment is going on in the local hospital.

While giving information about the incident on Tuesday, the police station in-charge of Abadpur has said that Nurefa and Rinke Khatoon had returned from their in-laws to Jahangir Khan, who lives in Shivanandpur village. After having dinner on Monday night, the two sisters took their children and went to sleep in a room. Due to no power, they lit a lamp in the room. Police have feared that the house may have caught fire due to falling off the lamp.

The in-charge of the police station told that three children Ayub, Kashmiri Khatoon, and Moushumi Khatoon died on the spot while the two sisters got badly burnt by the fire. With the help of the local people, both were rushed to the hospital where Rinki succumbed during treatment. The fire has been controlled with the help of local people. Police is investigating the matter on the spot.
