Raipur: In a tragic incident from Raipur Chhattisgarh, a worker was killed and four other labourers suffered burn injuries at a steel plant after the molten metal fell on them. The incident occurred on Sunday evening at the Steel Melting Shop of the Godawari Power and Ispat Limited.

Police official said that the melting shop was located in Siltara industrial area on the outskirts of the capital. The news agency PTI reported, the crucible container in which the molten metal was being transported in the melting shop accidentally tilted. The container fell on the victims who were working in the area below.

The deceased was identified as Ranjeet Kumar, residence of Bihar state. He immediately died on the spot while four other labourers suffered burn injuries. The injured were rushed to Kalda Burn and Plastic Surgery Centre said police. The local police have a lodged a case in this connection, said the Assistant Superintendent of police. Also, the investigation in the case is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the incident.
