These days various filmmakers are making movies on different subjects and recently the trailer of another good story is grabbing all the limelight Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming directorial Indian Lockdown was unveiled. It stars Prateik Babbar, Aahana Kumra and Shweta Basu Prasad among others. The actors are leaving no stone unturned in promoting the movie.

In a recent interview, the star cast was asked about how covid has affected the film industry. Shweta Basu, “The last two years have really filtered the audience’s palette as well. She said she feels films that used to work well at the box office are no longer performing the same.” Aahana Kumra said,  “Ab shayad OTT pe chal jayein.”

Prateik Babbar further speaking about this said, “Definitely, the palette has filtered, but I feel like it’s a 50-50. Because, I don’t want to take films or actors’ names, but films, in my opinion, which shouldn’t have worked, those which have been not been bakwas but just nonsense films, aaj kal woh bhi box office pe fatt rahin hain (Even nonsense films are doing good at the box office). I think that’s always been the case.” Shweta added, “Of course, films should make money and bring money to the industry. I am happy with that. But, I don’t think those films have a shelf life and that is okay.” 

The Indian Lockdown is produced by Dr Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Bhandarkar Entertainment, and Pranav Jain’s P J Motions Pictures, ‘India Lockdown’ is the first Indian feature film on the COVID pandemic and stars Shweta Basu Prasad, Aahana Kumra, Prateik Babbar, Sai Tamhankar, and Prakash Belawadi in key roles. ‘India Lockdown’ premieres on 2nd December.
