New Delhi: Former MP Dr. Ajay Kumar has returned to the Congress. Congress President Sonia Gandhi has approved the proposal for his return. Kumar used to head the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee till last year. But after the Lok Sabha elections, the differences in the party increased so much that it went up to shock.

Subsequently, Kumar sent his resignation letter to Rahul Gandhi in August last year. A few days later he joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The party appointed him a national spokesperson. Even after this, he did not stay there for long. In the letter sent to Rahul Gandhi, Dr. Kumar made his point in a very strong tone. He had said that he has received gallantry awards in the form of IPS, but as the colleagues he met, even the worst criminals seem better than him.

Kumar said that party workers are loyal to the leaders, not the Congress. He also termed the rise of the Kinnars inside the party as a conspiracy. After the elections last year, the Jharkhand Congress had come out in full swing. There was so much ruckus in the meetings about the preparations for the assembly elections that a large number of security forces were deployed around the Congress office. Police had to resort to lathi-charge to remove the rebel faction leaders.
