Recently, in the midst of an event, Aamir talked about his personal life without any hesitation from the struggle of his personal life to the film journey.
He has spoken about parenting, saying that after years he has realised what mistake he had made. He said that he was very much interested in making his career and could not give time to his children and family. Aamir further said, "I may have been a hit as an actor but as a father, husband and son, I flopped.'' Mr Perfectionist has further said that I was living my life and running after my dreams. Somewhere in this journey, those who are my loved ones and my own, somewhere I could not give them time.
Referring to daughter Ira, Aamir further added: "My daughter must have needed me when she was young but I was not with her. I knew about the dreams and fears of my peers but not about my children. I wish I could have taught myself to be a good father. I have been trying to win the audience, I have been trying to win the audience, I have been just thinking about myself for so many years, but now I have realised that now I give them time.''
