New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Jails Minister Satyendar Jain, who is lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail, had appealed in a Delhi court that he should be provided food according to his religious beliefs. The appeal was made on Monday (November 21) before the Special Judge at Rouse Avenue Court.

The court is scheduled to pronounce its verdict in the case today i.e. on Friday (November 25). A petition was filed in the court, in which it was said that according to the religious beliefs of Jail Minister Satyendra Jain, he is not being given food in jail. It was told that due to being in prison, he cannot go to the temple, and he is on fast, in such a situation, he should get cooked food, pulses, grains, milk, dry fruits, and date products which are not available in jail.

Special Judge Vikas Dhull heard lengthy arguments in the case on Thursday and reserved the verdict on it. Now the court is going to give its verdict today. Earlier, a video of Satyendra Jain getting a massage in jail went viral. However, AAP and Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia termed it physiotherapy. However, the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) dismissed Sisodia's words and said you could not call it physiotherapy, it is an insult to our great profession. Along with this, the IAP had also asked Sisodia to apologize.
