Ahmedabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has downplayed the challenges of AAm Aadmi Party in  Gujarat polls, saying Arvind Kejriwal's party may not even open its account, and said the BJP state unit's announcement of setting up an anti-radicalisation cell is a good step that can be considered by other States and the Centre.

The popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the overall improvement of Gujarat under his leadership as State Chief Minister, and the adoption of the zero appeasement policy were the main factors in people continuing to place their trust in the BJP over the course of the last 27 years, said Amit Shah.

"The BJP will win in Gujarat with an unparalleled margin. The public has complete faith in our party and our leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been travelling the state and speaking at five rallies daily in the lead-up to the two-phase elections on December 1 and 5, shah said

The BJP representative responded to the query of whether AAP would run in the Gujarat assembly elections by saying, "Every party has the right to run in elections, but it is up to the people whether they accept the party or not.
"The Gujarati people have no awareness of AAP. Wait for the results; perhaps AAP's name won't be on the list of elected officials,  Shah added.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has launched a strong campaign in PM Modi's home state of Gujarat, where the Congress has historically been the BJP's main opposition.
The primary opposition party, Congress, is still experiencing a crisis, which is also being felt in Gujarat, saidShah. In response to a question regarding Congressman Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, Shah said that perseverance is essential in politics.

"I've always believed that hard work is important for politicians, and it's positive when people put forth effort. However, in politics, only consistent efforts yield results. Let's therefore wait and see, Shah added.
In the run-up to the State election, Mr. Shah, who has been discussing national security matters, said they are crucial for every assembly election.

The Opposition has accused the BJP of raising national issues such as terrorism in state elections to divert the people's attention from governance-related concerns.
