New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has been suspended from the Upper House for a week. He has been suspended for tearing the paper and throwing it toward the deputy chairman. So far, 20 MPs of the Upper House and 4 from the Lok Sabha have been suspended who is from the Congress party. However, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned for some time soon after Sanjay Singh's suspension, but now the proceedings have resumed.  

 

Deputy Chairman of the Upper House Harivansh Narayan Singh said that Sanjay Singh was in the Well and shouting slogans. He also said that Sanjay Singh tore the paper and threw it toward the Chair, which is a complete disregard for the Chair. Soon after, a motion voice against AAP MP Sanjay Singh was passed with a vote and he was directed to leave the premises.

On Wednesday, 19 Rajya Sabha MPs were suspended from the House for a week due to the uproar in the House. These Rajya Sabha MPs have been suspended for a week for entering the Well of the House and shouting slogans. The Deputy Chairman suspended 19 MPs. These MPs include TMC MPs Sushmita Dev, Dr Shantanu Sen and Dola Sen, Shanta Chhetri, Mohammad Abdullah, AA Rahim, L Yadav and VV. Names of Sivadasan, Abir Ranjan Biswas, Nadimul Haque are included.
