Mumbai: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray is celebrating his 62nd birthday today. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde congratulated him on the occasion. Along with this also wished him better health. Interestingly, in the wake of a recent interview, Uddhav Thackeray had levelled allegations without naming MLAs who rebelled in the Shiv Sena. He had also taken a dig at Chief Minister Shinde.
CM Shinde tweeted, "Warm birthday greetings to Hon'ble Shri Uddhavji Thackeray Ji, former CM of Maharashtra. May he has longevity and stay healthy, prayer at the feet of Mata Jagdamba..'' It is the same special thing that Shinde and Thackeray have not met since the revolt in the Shiv Sena. However, the rebel MLAs are constantly calling themselves Shiv Sainiks.
In one of his interviews, Thackeray had described the rebels as 'rotten leaves.' He said, 'Rotten leaves are falling. Those who got everything from the tree got all the juice, that is why they were fresh. Those leaves are falling even after taking everything from the tree...' He said, 'When I gave you the responsibility of handling the party, I gave you the rank of number two. You had completely trusted to handle the party, you killed that trust. My movements were off during my stay in the hospital. Then your condition was in full swing and they were also against the party. Discussions are going on regarding cabinet expansion in Maharashtra. Regarding this, Thackeray had said, 'When will it expand, I do not know. But no matter how many ministers and ministers they become, the seal of betrayal on their foreheads can never be wiped off. Due to the interview, Thackeray slammed the rebel MLAs, saying that giving power to those people was a mistake. He said, 'But with that force, he not only attacked the opposite, but this child came out to swallow the mother who gave birth in politics.'
