The Aam Aadmi Party has announced its candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi. Somanath Bharti will be the candidate from New Delhi, Sahi Ram Pahalwan from South Delhi, Kuldeep Kumar from East Delhi, and Mahabal Mishra from West Delhi. A meeting of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) was held at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence to discuss the names of the candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Kuldeep Kumar, Somanath Bharti, and Sahi Ram Pahalwan are all Aam Aadmi Party MLAs. Mahabal Mishra joined AAP after leaving the Congress. His son Vinay Mishra is an MLA from Dwarka. This election is crucial for the Aam Aadmi Party as it is contesting in alliance with the Congress. There are a total of seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, and Congress will field candidates on three seats.

Kuldeep Kumar is an MLA from Kondli and comes from a reserved category background. Somanath Bharti is the Vice President of the Jal Board and has served as a minister in the Delhi government. He is an MLA from Malviya Nagar. Sahi Ram Pahalwan has been a three-time MLA from Tughlakabad and is considered a grassroots leader.

Mahabal Mishra has been a former Congress leader and Member of Parliament. His son is an MLA.

Delhi Minister Gopal Rai said, "The Aam Aadmi Party has made a historic decision today for the East Delhi Lok Sabha seat. This is a general seat. For the first time in Delhi, a candidate from a reserved category has been chosen to contest from a general seat." Gopal Rai said that winning these seats is our goal.
