Ahmedabad: Assembly elections are scheduled in Gujarat at the end of this year. Earlier, state CM Bhupender Patel expressed confidence in the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in these elections. In the previous elections, the main contest was between the BJP and Congress. However, this time the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is also on the rise. The AAP is all set to contest in Gujarat after its landslide victory in Punjab recently.

Speaking to the media, CM Patel said, "Aam Aadmi Party, any political party can contest elections. It's part of democracy. But when it comes to the BJP, the magic of any party will not be able to work. Even during the Gandhinagar body elections, there was a lot of talk about the AAP. But after the BJP won 41 of the 44 seats, his dream was shattered.''

CM Patel further said that AAP will contest elections only on posters. "People have decided that only the selected seats will be given to the opposition in Gujarat. Whether it is Congress or the AAP, they will have to be satisfied only in a few seats. Even now, the people of the state like the BJP. We will continue to work for the people. Our track record shows that the first choice of the people is the BJP and for the sixth time, there will be an opportunity to serve the people.''
