Bhopal: Arvind Kejriwal's party, which is fast gaining a foothold in India, is now all set to establish in Madhya Pradesh. Aam Aadmi Party has already taken over power in Delhi and Punjab and is now going to contest the upcoming civic body elections in the state.

AAP will contest in all municipal corporations, municipalities and municipal councils including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, and Ujjain. The sources have said that the Aam Aadmi Party will reveal the names of its candidates before the BJP and Congress. The elections will be contested on issues like road and water. The Aam Admi Party's entry into the civic body elections may see a tough fight between political parties, as people have reposed faith in Kejriwal's policies for some time now.

The Aam Aadmi Party has decided that it will give tickets to contest the elections only to those who have a clean image. Aam Aadmi Party's candidate list includes educated people like doctors, engineers, etc. Since the victory in Punjab, many new members have joined AAP in the state. The party has more than 2.5 lakh members in Madhya Pradesh. Aam Aadmi Party state president Pankaj Singh said that civic body elections are directly related to the people. Therefore, elections will be contested on issues like roads, water, electricity, sewage, etc. Like in Delhi party may also offer the benefit on water bills here. The municipal elections in the state have been announced. The elections will be held in two phases on July 6 and 13. Nominations will be filed between June 11 and 18.
