New Delhi: Former President of the country Pranab Mukherjee has been cremated on Tuesday. With full state honors, Lodhi merged with the former President of Panchatatva at the cremation ground. Earlier, his body was kept from Army Hospital (R&R) at his official residence at 10, Rajaji Marg.

After this, Lodhi crematorium Ghat was lit by his son and Congress leader Abhijeet Mukherjee. Pranab Mukherjee's son Abhijeet Mukherjee became emotional on the occasion. He told that he wanted to take his father to Bengal, but his wish remained incomplete. Abhijeet Mukherjee said that his presence was very important for our family, we will miss him. He says that Corona was not the main cause of his death, but that his brain surgery had a huge impact on his health. He said that we wanted to take him to West Bengal but due to the Coronavirus, we could not do so.

Abhijeet has said that he plans to convert one floor of his house in Jangipur in West Bengal into a museum and library in memory of his father. Abhijeet said that he wished the government issued a stamp in honor of his father. Abhijeet said that his father told him that he should avoid taking revenge on anyone in politics. His message was clear and I will always remember it.
