An absconding accused of robbery and theft incidents of Khandwa railway station was arrested by the crime branch from the city on Thursday. He was handed over to RPF Khandwa for further action against him.

According to ASP (crime) Guruprasad Parashar, a tip-off was received that the accused, who was on the run in connection with the robbery and theft at Khanwa Railway station is hiding in the city. After the information, a crime branch team was constituted to nab the accused. The team collected information and managed to arrest the accused from near Choithram Mandi. The accused introduced himself as Shiva Pawar, a resident of Khandwa. He was on the run in robbery incident of GRP Khandwa and a theft at the railway station there. He was handed over to RPF Khandwa and GRP Khandwa was also informed about his arrest. The accused is being questioned further.
