Dehradun: A woman pilgrim was hit by an uncontrollable car at Badrinath Dham on Wednesday night. After which the woman died on the spot. Police have seized the car. Police station in-charge Satendra Singh said that the woman pilgrim was coming towards the bus stand at night. It was then that suddenly a speeding car hit the woman on the Badrinath Astha Path.

The woman also has a child in her lap and the child has also been injured. The woman was admitted to the hospital with the help of police and the family members of the woman passenger, but she had already succumbed to her injuries. Police are investigating the case. Nowadays the number of pilgrims in Badrinath Dham has again increased drastically. On Wednesday, 2,040 pilgrims visited Lord Badrinath.

Soon the temple will be closed for winter on November 20. The process of closing the gates of the Dham will also start from November 15. Along with this, Kailash Nautiyal, who reached the Dham with his family, said that he prayed for the happiness of his family by offering prayers at Badrinath Dham. Devasthanam Board media in-charge Dr Harish Gaur said the gate of Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri have been closed. Now, the process of closing the gate of Badrinath Dham will also start after a week.
