24 workers died in a collision between a DCM and a truck in the early hours of Saturday in Auraiya district. 36 people have been injured, most of the victims of this accident are from Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

CM Yogi Adityanath has expressed his deepest condolences to the families of laborers who lost their lives in this accident. Yogi Adityanath announced to give two lakh rupees to the relatives of the deceased and Rs 50-50 thousand to the seriously injured people in the accident. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a directive to suspend the police station responsible for the incident, Ajitmal and Auraiya and warn the CO.

Apart from giving stern warnings to the Chief Minister, Adityanath has summoned the ADG, IG, SSP of Agra, SSP of Mathura and Additional Superintendent of Police. He has asked IG Kanpur to visit the spot and report immediately on the causes of this accident. The Chief Minister ordered the dead to seize the truck and sue the truck owner. Explanation has been sought from SSP and ADG of Agra and Mathura.
