London:  A comprehensive emergency appeal has been launched by the UK-based charity Action For Humanity to assist Palestinians who are suffering as a result of the rising violence in the Palestinian territories.

Since 2021, the organisation has operated in Palestine. In addition to providing humanitarian aid during the most recent two waves of violence, it claimed to have assisted in giving Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza access to food, clean water, and medical care, as well as support for orphans.

It added that its teams in Palestine are currently evaluating the expanding humanitarian needs and have plans to deliver aid to those in need in order to save lives.

Israeli police conducted raids at Al-Aqsa this week, beating worshippers from the Palestinian side and arresting or ejecting hundreds of people from the area in what they claimed was an effort to flush out agitators hiding out at the mosque.

Israeli warplanes bombed several military targets in the Gaza Strip that were affiliated with Hamas and Islamic Jihad on Thursday night into Friday morning.

Othman Moqbel, CEO of Action for Humanity, stated that the humanitarian situation for Palestinians was once again getting worse as a result of an uptick in violence. "This has once again coincided with the holy month of Ramadan, which is observed by many Palestinians.

"We have a history of providing humanitarian aid to Palestinians during outbreaks of violence like this, in addition to our more than 12 years of experience doing so in conflict areas like Syria and Yemen.

We have been keeping an eye on the tensions in the West Bank and Gaza for several months, and regrettably, the circumstances brought on by the escalation of the violence have prompted Action For Humanity to launch an urgent fundraising appeal.

"We are requesting generous donations from the public to help us save and maintain lives in Palestine," he continued.
