On August 19, the mother of television actor Gaurav Chopra died after battling cancer for 3 years. Gaurav has bid farewell by writing an emotional message remembering his mother's straggle. In this note, the actor said that his mother had inspired many people.

Inspired so many..as a teacher, as a principal,as a colleague ,as a friend ,as a human being pursuing spiritual growth over everything else.. I can go on and on .about a million things..she introduced me to everything in life ..my strength..my source.."
