Bollywood actor-model Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Arora, has died by suicide in Mumbai, police confirmed on Wednesday. According to initial reports, Anil Arora jumped from his apartment building in Bandra early this morning.

The incident occurred around 9 a.m. when Arora fell from a seven-story building. Emergency services were promptly called, and his body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. A thorough investigation is currently underway.

Malaika Arora’s ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, and senior police officials have arrived at her residence to offer support. A video of Khan visiting the family has also appeared on social media.

Malaika Arora, originally from Thane, Maharashtra, lived with her mother and sister in Chembur after her parents divorced when she was 11. Her mother, Joyce Polycarp, is a Malayali Christian, and her father, Anil Arora, was a Punjabi who worked in the Indian Merchant Navy.

Mumbai Police said, “The father of actress-model Malaika Arora died by suicide by jumping off a terrace. The police team is present at the scene.”
