Senior Telgu actor Vijay Prasad a.ka Vizag Prasad who gained a huge popularity by playing antagonist role in film Nuvve Nenu took last breath on Sunday morning at Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad. He was suffering from prolonged illness passed due to cardiac arrest around 3 am today.

He acted in several Telugu films and serials like Allari Bullodu, Ranivari Bangla, Idhi Maa Prema Katha and so on. Prasad received critical acclaim for his role in Nuvve Nenu as Uday Kiran's father.

Vizag Prasad has worked in more than 50 films, in several television serials. Vizag Prasad starrer Nuvvu I, Bhadra, Jai Chiranjeevi, Gauri, Janaki Weds Shriram, Lion and Fitting Master have earned him a good name and fame. He had also starred in several television serials including Idhi Maa Prema Katha, Allari Bullodu, and Ranivari Bangla.

Vizag Prasad's married to Vidyawati and the couple have two children Ratnaprabha and Ratnakumar. Both are computer engineers. The daughter lives in the United States while the boy lives in London. The funeral will be held after the arrival of Vizag.

Prasad’s death come almost 2 months after the demise of 61-year-old actor-politician Nandamuri Harikrishna died in a tragic car accident on the Annaparthi road near Narketpally in Telangana's Nalgonda district in August.
