Mohena Kumari Singh, a member of the Rewa royal family, posted on social media about the ongoing ban in Bandhavgarh Fort. According to Mohena in the video, there is a plot to deny the existence of elephants in the Fort.

The Bandhavgarh Fort has reportedly banned the Janmashtami fair. Since 400 years ago, the Janmashtami fair has been observed. Now, officials have cited ‘presence of elephants’ in the Fort, and hence the ban.

"We need permission to go to our house (Fort), which requires a lot of struggle and at times it is not even but," Mohena says in the video. But it's out of control this time. The National Park remains closed to visitors on Janmashtami, and devotees from nearby districts come for the Janmashtami puja. However, this time, the authorities closed the doors rather than opening them, claiming that there were elephants present. There are always elephants in the forest. Elephants have never been harmed by any followers. Once a year, the devotees travel to the fort. How long is the forest accessible to tourists? They purchase tickets in order to observe the animals and experience the wildlife. Do the pilgrims now need to purchase tickets in order to worship, making money for you? When there is a threat of a landslide at Kedarnath or Badrinath, pilgrims are permitted; however, despite this, there is still a ban in place here. How fair is this? Yuvraj Divyaraj Singh, my brother, is currently sitting on a protest outside of the protest. I want the Madhya Pradesh government to hear me out so that we can get a response. Maharaja Martand Singh, my late grandfather, gave the forest to the MP government. He never would have imagined that his children or followers wouldn't be permitted access to the forest.

Mohena requested that the ban should be removed so that devotees can worship.
