The Telugu remake of Superstar Ajith's superhit Tamil film 'Vedalam' is being produced by director Meher Ramesh. Megastar Chiranjeevi will reprise the role of Ajith in this Telugu version titled 'Bhola Shankar'. He signed this new project on his birthday.
As per the latest reports, actress Tamannaah Bhatia is being considered to play the lead opposite Chiranjeevi in the film. Tamannaah will reportedly play a lawyer who was originally played by Shruti Haasan in the Tamil version. An official announcement regarding the same is expected soon. If so, then 'Bhola Shankar' will mark the megastar's second collaboration with Tamannaah after joining Chiranjeevi in 'Sye Raa Narasimhareddy'.

Chiranjeevi is currently busy with 'Acharya' directed by Koratala Siva. Apart from this, he is also working on Godfather, the Telugu remake of the 2019 Malayalam film 'Lucifer'.
