Shekhar wrote in one of his tweets, 'Bollywood film awards are not an appreciation of creativity, but a negotiation. Will you dance for me on stage if I give you an award? Terrific fearless expose by a journalist once in charge. ' Responding to this, Adnan Sami wrote- 'Perfect! I too faced a similar agreement when he wanted me to perform for free and he would give me an award instead. I asked them to stop. I will never 'buy' the award. My self-respect is the things that I will take with me to my grave - nothing else !! '
