KABUL – Authorities in Afghanistan said on Thursday that 700 security professionals undergoing military training have been commissioned into the security forces of the Taliban-led caretaker government.
According to sources, 500 police officers graduated from a police training centre in eastern Nangarhar province on Wednesday after completing a one-month training in the provincial capital Jalalabad city. The freshly graduated police personnel would be deployed in four eastern provinces, including Nangarhar.
Quoting government announcement, 200 border security soldiers graduated from the army's 209th Fatah Corps' military, professional, and ideological training in the northern area. It was announced that , the soldiers will be deployed to improve security along the country's borders, particularly in the northern provinces' border areas.
The Taliban-led caretaker administration's army chief, Qari Fasihuddin, has stated that the administration is working to build a capable army to safeguard the country's security.
