Afghanistan security forces have busted a 10-member Chinese module operating a terror cell in Kabul.  The members of the module were flown out of the country in a plane arranged by the Chinese government.

Afghanistan had offered to pardon the 10 Chinese spies on the condition that Beijing apologise for deploying the 10 persons including at least one woman, believed to be linked to China’s spy agency. A senior diplomat in Kabul has said that two of the 10 Chinese nationals were in touch with the terror group Haqqani Network.

Chinese envoy to Afganistan Wang Yu has been briefed about the detentions by Vice President Amrullah Saleh. Saleh has threatened China with criminal proceedings if it doesn’t tender a formal apology admitting the violation of international norms. Arms, ammunition, and Ketamine powder and other incriminating items recovered from their residences.
