Afghan army achieves major breakthrough amid Taliban havoc, kills 109 militants

Kabul: Taliban militants continue to wreak havoc in Afghanistan, taliban claim to have captured 85 per cent of Afghanistan's territory. Afghanistan is facing a terrible civil war. This has been a major success for the afghan security forces. There is a very dangerous period of conflict between the Afghanistan Army and Taliban militants.

In Afghanistan, at least 109 Taliban militants have been killed and 25 others injured during fierce fighting and clashes in two provinces. In Kandahar province, 70 Taliban militants were killed and eight others injured during an army operation in Kandahar city's Police District 7 and neighboring suburban Dand city by afghan national defence and security forces (ANDSF) backed by the Afghan Air Force (AAF), the army's 205th Atal Corps said in a statement.

Earlier on Friday, the Taliban attacked ANDSF targets and tried to infiltrate into Kandahar city, which was followed by heavy fighting throughout the day. According to the army's 215th Miwand Corps, in Helmand province, a ANDSF backed by the AAF targeted a militant group in Kala-e-Bulan, on the outskirts of the provincial capital Lashkar Gah, killing 39 Taliban militants and injuring 17. US and NATO troops are leaving the country, on the other hand, violence is on the rise in the country.
