Muscat: In an assertion of the depth of the historic relationship between the Sultanate and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and, based on the keenness of the two countries’ leaderships to enhance joint relationship, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik will go on an official visit to Saudi Arabia with effect from Sunday, 11 July 2021, in response to an invitation from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of KSA.

According to a Saudi Press Agency (SPA) report on Friday, the two-day visit is also his first foreign visit since he became the Sultan in January 2020 after the death of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said. It aims to strengthen relations and cooperation in various fields for the interest and steady progress of the peoples of the two countries, the SPA added. He was invited by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as per reports.

During the visit, discussions will cover all aspects of cooperation between the two countries with a view to upgrading bilateral relations, and realising the aspirations of the two peoples and achieving the objectives set in all fields. The discussions also aim at reaching results that serve common interests and establishing a more prosperous future for the two countries.
