Kabul: Afghanistan Vice President Amrullah Saleh has categorically refused to bow down to the Taliban, a terror group. He has declared himself the acting President of the country on Tuesday. Saleh says it is futile to argue with US President Joe Biden on the issue, we Afghans will have to fight our own war. He further said that the US and NATO may have lost courage, but our hope is yet to befall.

Saleh tweeted, 'Explanation: According to the Constitution of Afghanistan, in the absence, exodus, resignation or death of the President, the Vice President becomes the Active President. I am currently in my country and a legitimate acting President. I am approaching all leaders for their support and consensus.' On the other hand, US President Joe Biden is facing criticism in his own country for withdrawing troops from Afghanistan. Now Democratic Party MP Jim Langevin has written an article saying he opposed the withdrawal of troops. The Democrat leader has questioned the recent situation in Afghanistan.
In his article on foreign policy, he said, "A meeting of the U.S. House Armed Services Committee was held in May 2021 on withdrawal of troops.'' In it, Langevin had asked a senior army official, "What will be the stand of the United States if the situation there worsens after the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan and the Afghan government asks for assistance?" On this, the official had said that he did not want to get into imaginary questions. Langevin further said in the article that all the members of the Committee had asked questions about it, but they did not get any logical answer.
