Kabul: Afghanistan Cricketer Najeeb Tarakai has passed away on Tuesday. After an accident, Najeeb was suffering for a long time. The 29-year-old Tarakai was admitted to the hospital and went into a coma. Former Afghanistan Cricket Board media manager M.ibrahim Momand has informed about this.
On Friday, he was hit by a car at a time when he was crossing the pedestrian road. He was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital. The former media manager tweeted on October 3 that Najeeb had not been in the last 22 hours after a serious injury. The accident took place in Jalalabad city and he was kept under close vigil in the hospital. Meanwhile, the ACB has condoled the death of Tarakai. The Cricket Board has tweeted and expressed grief over the major loss.
The ACB tweeted, "The Afghanistan nation, which loves ACB and cricket, is deeply saddened by the heartbreaking and irreparable loss of its aggressive opening batsman and he was a good human being. We pray that Allah may have mercy on him".
