Denmark Open 2020 is to begin from October 13, 2020, to October 18, 2020, at Odense Sports Park, Denmark. Danmarks Badminton Forbund is organizing the tournament. The Pandemic situation disrupts the players very much and concedes them aback. Lakshya Sen, 19 years old, fast-rising Indian Shuttler claimed five titles in the senior circuit last year said, he can’t wait to go full throttle as the international badminton resumes. “It was frustrating as there was no tournament because of the virus. But then it is the same for everyone. I just hope we get to play, now that Denmark Open is happening," Lakshya, ranked 27. He added, "It took two weeks to get back to normal and now I am ready to give my best and see whatever happens. It is the first event for everyone so I can't expect anything, will just go all out from the start”.
In Round 1 Men’s Singles, Parupalli Kashyap will face Koki Watanabe of Japan and Lakshya Sen will face Christo Popov of French, Ajay Jayaram will face Danish Anders Antonsen, Subhandar Dey will face Canadian Jason Anthony Ho-shue, Kidambi Srikanth 2017 title winner will face English Toby Penty.
