Betul: At least 12 persons were killed and 35 others injured when a tractor trolley overturned in Betul in Madhya Pradesh late last night. The injured persons were brought to Chicholi Hospital. As the condition of 18 persons is serious, they have been referred to the district hospital. Police are investigating the incident.

It is being said that the tractor trolley going from Imlidhana to Bondri village overturned uncontrollably in Siya village under Chicholi police station area of Betul late on Friday night. There were more than 53 persons in this tractor trolley. As soon as the news of the case was received, people from nearby areas reached the spot and with the help of JCB machine, pulled out the people trapped under the tractor trolley and rushed them to the hospital with the help of ambulances.

It is also being said that Saroj, the daughter of Doma Uike of Bondri village, got married two days ago in Imli Dhana. It is customary to bring back the daughter a few days after the wedding. So, in a tractor trolley, relatives and villagers had gone to Tamarind Dana. Saroj was sent to Bondri village by car. While, the rest of the people were returning to the village on a tractor trolley. On the way back at night, the tragic incident took place between Kanhegaon and Kesia village.
