Former Indian left-arm fast bowler Zaheer Khan is celebrating his 44th birthday today. Zaheer Khan, who made his debut under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly in the year 2000, had such a passion for cricket that he gave up engineering and chose cricket. Engineers are always searching for something new. Zaheer did the same. He invented the 'Knuckle ball' in the world of cricket.

Zaheer Khan also faced a bad face during the year 2004-05. At that time he has also been dropped from the team. At the same time, he discovered this ball and practised it fiercely. When he returned to his team again, he used this ball. Zaheer Khan's 'Knuckle Ball' is quite famous and bowlers still use this ball and shock the batsmen.

Zaheer Khan was born on October 7, 1978, in Shrirampur, Maharashtra. Zaheer's early education was completed at Hind Seva Mandal New Marathi Primary School in Shrirampur. After this, he studied further at KJ Somaiya Secondary School. Then he enrolled in engineering. But his heart and mind were only in cricket. Seeing Zaheer's diligence, his father advised him that there are many engineers in the country, and you become a fast bowler. With this talk of his father, Zaheer's journey to becoming a legendary bowler started.

Significantly, today Zaheer Khan is also known as 'Zack'. Zaheer Khan started his cricket career after coming to Mumbai at the age of 17. Zaheer Khan became the subject of discussions by taking 7 wickets in a match played against Gymkhana Club. TA Shekhar, the pace foundation of the then MRF, noticed Zaheer Khan and took Zaheer to Chennai, where Zaheer prepared himself. After this, he made his steps in first-class and international cricket.

Zaheer Khan, who took 23 wickets in the 2011 World Cup, had a very brilliant career. Zaheer Khan took a total of 44 wickets in the World Cup. He has played a total of 92 Test matches in his international career, in which he has taken 311 wickets in his name. At the same time, playing 200 ODIs, he took 282  wickets and playing 17 T20 Internationals, he took 17 wickets.
