Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are enjoying their married life these days. After dating each other for seven years, the couple finally decided to get married. Their wedding was attended by only family members and some close friends. Sonakshi has now revealed why she did not get married with much pomp and show, and because of this some of her friends were also angry with her.

Why didn't you have a Big Fat Indian Wedding?

Sonakshi Sinha says that the reason for not having a Big Fat Indian Wedding was her brother Kush's wedding. After seeing the grand event at her brother Kush's wedding, she had decided that she would not have such a big wedding.

Had an open conversation with mother

Sonakshi told in an interview that she too was under pressure to have a grand wedding, but she and Zaheer were very clear about the kind of wedding they wanted. Sonakshi recalled, "You must remember my brother Kush's wedding. Thousands of people came to every function. After seeing his wedding, I told my mother that my wedding will not be like this."

Facing the displeasure of friends

Sonakshi told that to make her wedding special, she kept it very simple and private, but some friends did not like this. They wanted that there should be more functions in the wedding. Sonakshi's stylist Huma and Mohit were also not happy with this decision. Mohit wanted Sonakshi to change clothes many times in her wedding, but Sonakshi changed clothes only once. Mohit was upset with this.

Wedding Day and Reception

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married on 23 June. This marriage was registered in a very private manner, in which very few people attended. After this, a reception was organized in the evening, in which many Bollywood stars attended. Sonakshi's intention behind this simple and private wedding was to spend this special day only with her family and close friends. Although some of her friends were unhappy with this decision, but for Sonakshi and Zaheer, this was the most special day of their life.
