Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India] Jun 5(NT):  After failing in NEET, Tamil Nadu girl ended her life. She was 17-year-old girl and committed suicide at her home in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvannamalai on Monday night by consuming poison.

Her parents told that she took this major step after failing and not to clear the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance (NEET) exam. She scored 39 marks out of 720.

Her body is currently kept at Villupuram Government hospital to conduct an autopsy as ANI reported.

In a similar unpleasant incident, a 19-year-old NEET candidate allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the 8th floor of a building in the national capital Delhi's Dwarka Sector-12, after the results were out.

According to reports of ANI a suicide note was found in his room in which mentioned that he lied about the results to his parents.

On a related note, this year over 13 lakh candidates had appeared for the national medical entrance exam at 2,225 centres across the country on May 7. The results of which were released on Monday.

Worth mention here the topper of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2018 is Kalpana Kumari. She secured 691 marks out of 720. She got 171 of 180 marks in Physics, 160 of 180 in Chemistry and 360 of 360 in Biology, therefore securing 99.99 percent on the whole. (NT)
